Judge Saldaña Meets Supreme Court
Justice Sonia Sotomayor
Judge Marisela Saldaña attended a gala reception in Washington, D.C., honoring U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor and Lady Brenda Hale, Supreme Court Justice of the United Kingdom.
"I was honored and elated to be in the presence of these great women. They are highly competent trailblazers who have worked their way to the top."
Judge Saldaña was in Washington on March 11–13 for the 2010 National Association of Women Judges' Midyear Meeting and Leadership Conference. Judge Saldaña is the Association’s District Director for Region 11, which includes Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Judge Saldaña Volunteers to Judge High School Mock Trial Competition
Judge Saldaña participated as a judge in the regional high school mock trial competition on February 5, 2010, at the United States Courthouse in Corpus Christi, Texas. Students participating in this annual event vied for scholarships totaling $6,750.
"I am always impressed with the caliber and passion with which these students participate in this competition. The young people hold great promise for our city and nation. All of them deserve to win the competition because they have all worked very hard."
